Morphology and Structural Innovation

A Sustainable and Resilient Architecture

Located in the immensity of the Misiones jungle in Argentina, this residential building redefines the concept of sustainable habitability in remote natural contexts. The project was designed with deep consideration for its surroundings and a clear vision toward self-sufficiency, seeking to merge contemporary architecture with landscape preservation.

Sustainability as a Central Axis

An Underground Refuge

Three underground levels house the most vital functions for the self-sufficiency of the complex. These spaces contain a general pantry, a refrigerator room, and a kitchen for food processing, as well as areas for fermentation and biofuel production.

Layout and Connectivity

Above the base, an open and ventilated access floor unfolds, acting as a threshold between the exterior and the residential units. Two vertical cores distribute the residential spaces across the four upper levels, with housing units ranging from 50 to 120 m².

Housing and Nature in Balance

All units enjoy exceptional views, both toward the surrounding natural environment and toward the interior garden, in a visual and sensory balance that promotes the well-being of its inhabitants and fosters connection with nature.
